All about the details

Being as contemporary artist I often seek for quality or shocking experience. Often, I feel how I’m chasing all those video installation exhibitions and thinking how myself, I should create this wow effect. I guess, we are all can be fooled and dragged into of what is trendy now.

It is important to stay yourself and think of your own ways or that something is called old, can be re-discovered and used. It is not about tools, it is all about details.

This is what I thought when I saw Tomoaki Suzuki tiny wood sculptures at Corvi-Mora gallery.

There were few more exhibitions that reminded me of how beauty can be achieved using simple materials – wood and paints. With a help of laser cutting, Isabel Young‘s work was intriguing and delightful.
